Emergency Calls

In case of an emergency, call 911. Residents within the Susquehanna Valley EMS coverage area will receive prompt medical assistance and transportation from a caring team of professionals to the nearest hospital.

Non-Emergency Calls

In addition to emergency service, Susquehanna Valley EMS also provides specialized non-emergency medical transportation to and from hospitals, medical centers, doctor's offices, nursing homes, insurance companies, and residences.

To schedule a non-emergency transport, please call (717) 735-1341 or 877-53-SVEMS

Medicare & Other Insurance

Non-emergency ambulance transportation is covered for patients that meet Medicare, or other insurance, criteria for medical necessities and covered services. Some transports, such as physician's office visits, are not covered by Medicare, but may be covered by other insurance.

Medicare and Social Security recipients are relieved of co-insurance and deductible costs by membership, while people with private insurance or no insurance coverage receive a 20% discount on the costs of services rendered.

Non-Emergency Wheelchair Van Transportation

For disabled or wheelchair using individuals in need of transportation to a medical appointment, Susquehanna Valley EMS supplies non-emergency Wheelchair Van transportation. For a fraction of the cost of an ambulance transport, our Wheelchair Van service allows residents to be conveniently transported to and from medical appointments. Plus, you'll find comfort in knowing that all of our Wheelchair Van vehicles are ADA approved, PUC licensed and staffed with trained professionals.
