Susquehanna Valley EMS Launches Community Subscription Drive

April 11, 2003
Susquehanna Valley Emergency Medical Services is conducting its annual subscription drive to maintain the community’s vital emergency medical services. Each resident is asked to do their part by subscribing to receive emergency medical coverage that protects their entire family throughout the year. Subscription sign-up materials have been mailed throughout their service area.

Each year Susquehanna Valley Emergency Medical Services responds to over 15,000 requests for services. According to Mr. Michael Fitzgibbons, Executive Director of Susquehanna Valley EMS, “Costs to maintain ambulances, equipment and crew are budgeted of over $1 million dollars this year alone.” Mr. Fitzgibbons continues, “As a non-profit organization we can only count on the residents we serve to support our timely life-saving services.”

By subscribing, residents and their families do not incur additional charges for emergency ambulance services, while non-subscribers are responsible for all fees that are associated to their emergency call. For mere pennies a day, subscribers have peace of mind and 24-hour, 7-days-a-week emergency medical service coverage.

Susquehanna Valley EMS serves Columbia Borough, East Donegal Township, East Hempfield Township, East Petersburg Borough, Manor Township, Marietta Borough, Mount Joy Borough, Mount Joy Township, Mountville Borough, Rapho Township, West Donegal Township and West Hempfield Township.
